Käthe & Karl brings a coastal fish restaurant into a former blacksmith's workshop beside the dyke in Dornumersiel. Astrid and Mark von der Ohe run the restaurant, whose name honours Astrid's parents. Fährhaus Neßmersiel is an evening restaurant within the small, family-run hotel on Dorfstraße. The Eberleh family has owned the hotel for almost half a century, and the restaurant builds its identity around the food of the nearby coast and marshlands.
