Konoba Zora

Konoba Zora is in the heart of Dobrinj, where the island's inland streets and old stone surroundings provide a different setting from the coastal resorts. The tavern traces its beginnings to an inn opened by Nikola Fugošić in 1947. Two years later, his son Nikola married the cook Zora, and the couple took over the business. Her name became the restaurant's name, and her work helped make the island's šurlice familiar beyond Krk. Handmade pasta remains the clearest introduction to the kitchen. The house recommends šurlice with goulash, alongside Dobrinj makaruni and gnocchi with the same hearty accompaniment. Another preparation pairs šurlice with a scampi sauce, connecting the inland tavern's pasta tradition with the surrounding Adriatic.
