Lindi’s Schlemmerstube

Lindi's Schlemmerstube is a family restaurant on Zum Großteich in Thiendorf, centred on freshly prepared German home cooking. The kitchen describes hands-on preparation, from peeling potatoes to cutting vegetables, with predominantly regional products. Traditional, substantial recipes are the starting point, while a changing seasonal card adds variation during the year.

The main dining room accommodates up to fifty people and is used for both ordinary meals and private celebrations. There is also a planted beer garden for eating and drinking outdoors in suitable weather. These offer two different settings for the same country-restaurant visit: a table inside with family or friends, or an outdoor meal when the season allows.

Alongside the seasonal food menu, the restaurant publishes an ice-cream selection for anyone wanting a sweet finish. It also runs a separate catering service during the cooler part of the year. If you are organising a larger gathering, speak to the team about whether you need a restaurant table, a private celebration or off-site food service, since those are different arrangements.

Opening varies by day: Wednesday and Thursday are evening service, with earlier starts from Friday to Sunday. Monday and Tuesday are closed, and the restaurant also closes on the second Sunday of the month and during published holiday periods. Telephone ahead to confirm your date and reserve. The direct address is 14 Zum Großteich, rather than the main Kamenzer Straße through the village.
