Restaurant im Hotel Bergknappenhof

The restaurant at Hotel Bergknappenhof brings modern Bavarian cooking to Silberbergstraße in Bodenmais. The Schweikl family and their team welcome visitors from outside the hotel as well as overnight guests, with breakfast and dinner available by advance table reservation. Regional ingredients anchor the kitchen, while ideas from further afield provide variety across the meal. Breakfast is served as a buffet with breads, rolls, cereals and regional specialties, alongside a juice and sparkling wine bar. The hotel's breakfast cooks prepare egg dishes with guests' chosen ingredients, making the meal more personal than a simple self-service spread. Later, the dining offer includes salads, a warm main dish, fruit and cakes. Dinner follows a menu format, moving through a starter, soup, salad and a choice of main courses before dessert and cheese. A bottle of wine can be chosen to accompany the food. The restaurant connects with a spacious lounge and the Kristallbar, providing somewhere to continue the evening over a cocktail. The bar's selection ranges from familiar classics to a regional long drink combining bloodroot spirit, wild berries and lime. This combination of dining room, lounge and bar suits visitors who want to make an occasion of a meal rather than stop briefly between activities. The house's emphasis is on regional cooking with room for new ideas, and the different meal formats offer several ways to experience it.
