Restaurant Labirint

Labirint brings a family restaurant into one of Rab's old-town corners. The Pičuljan family took over the former inn in 1979 and introduced the Labirint name in 1981. Both the dead-end lane and the layout of the terrace explain the name, giving this address a character quite different from an open waterfront dining room.

The kitchen keeps a strong connection to island cooking. Fish from local fishermen sits alongside octopus, anchovies, salted fish, shellfish and crustaceans. A particularly local dish to ask about is rapski gusti ujušak, Rab's thick fish soup. Olive oil, vegetables and herbs accompany the seafood, while the drinks selection includes house wines and bottled wines.

Meat has its own place here, including the King Tomislav platter and beef tartare prepared at the table. The two dining spaces also offer different settings: the terrace has stone walls and a well, while the interior recalls an older island tavern with its fireplace and peka. Choose according to the weather and the kind of evening you have in mind.
